Seating guide
- Best views
- From the seats behind the plate and down the first-base side you face the downtown skyline and the Roberto Clemente Bridge on the far side of the Allegheny River.
- Shade & cover
- Shade moves onto the first-base side over the course of the game. Rows R and higher in lower-level sections 101-114 are shaded from the start, and so are the top halves of Grandstand sections 301-312. The left-field side keeps its sun.
- Cheapest seats
- The bleachers and the Grandstand (300 level) seats in the outfield cost the least. Because the park has only two decks, even the highest rows stay reasonably close to the field.
- Families
- Close to the Right Field Gate, a Kids Play Area for ages 5-10 offers a play set and a miniature ballpark. Following select Sunday games, kids also get a turn running the bases.
- Standing room
- Standing-room-only tickets are sold by the team, and you can stand in the open areas on the left-field rooftop deck and along the right-field Riverwalk concourse.
Tailgating & parking
- Tailgating
- LimitedThe surface lots on the North Shore open roughly four hours ahead of first pitch. Travel guides report that grills are fine but other fires are not. We found no current official Pirates page on tailgating.
- Parking
- ALCO Parking and other operators run the North Shore lots and garages near the park, including Champions Garage, and you can reserve a space ahead with parking apps.
- Transit
- The T, Pittsburgh's light rail, goes beneath the river to North Side station close to the park. From downtown, plenty of buses run over, or you can walk across the Clemente Bridge.
