Privacy policy

Plain-English details on what this site collects and why.

What we collect

Inside the Park doesn’t have accounts or sign-ups, and you never need to give your name or email to use it. To understand how the site is used and make it better, we use two analytics services:

  • Google Analytics counts visits and shows which pages people view, roughly where visitors are (city or region), and what kind of device and browser they use.
  • Microsoft Clarity shows how people use our pages, for example where they click and how far they scroll, through heatmaps and session replays. Clarity masks text you type.

Both services use cookies and similar technologies, and they process this data under their own privacy policies: Google and Microsoft. We don’t sell your information.

Your Ballpark Count

The parks you mark in your Ballpark Count are saved only in your own browser. Clearing your browser data will erase them. If you tap a Share button, we receive a copy of what you’re sharing (your count, the list and the name you typed, if any) so we can see what fans share.

Find Closest Ballparks

When you search by ZIP code or city, the search runs in your browser and isn’t stored. If you use “Use my location,” your browser asks your permission first, and your location is only used on the page to measure distances.

Your choices

  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
  • You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

Links and ads

Ballpark links go to official team, ballpark and college sites, and banners link to our advertisers. Those sites have their own privacy practices.

Page view counts

We also count page views ourselves, without cookies: which page you opened, the site you came from (such as a search engine), any campaign tags in the link, your rough location (country, state and city, worked out from your connection) and your type of device and browser. Your IP address is used only to tell visitors apart within a single day and is not stored.

Ad and partner link clicks

When you click an ad, a partner link (such as Viator, Expedia or Lids) or another link that leaves the site, we count the click: which link it was, where it was on the page and which page you were on. We don’t record your IP address or set a cookie for this, and we use the counts only to see which ads and links people find useful.

Visit tips, photos and corrections

If you share a visit or suggest a correction on a ballpark page, we receive what you type, any photo you add, and your name and email if you give them. We only show a tip, photo or first name on the site if you tick the box that says we can. We never show your email and don’t add you to any mailing list.
