Yankee Stadium is a ballpark in Bronx, New York, home of the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball’s American League. It opened in 2009, making it 17 years old in 2026 and seats about 46,537 fans. Replica of the original stadium's copper frieze along the roof; short right-field porch.

Across East 161st Street stood the original Yankee Stadium, where the Yankees played from 1923 to 2008. It was closed for renovation in 1974–75 and torn down in 2010; Heritage Field, a public park, now occupies the site.

Seating guide

Best views
The best sightlines are in the infield sections of the Field Level and the Lower Main Level (200s) behind the plate. Up in the Grandstand (400s) behind home, you get a lofty view of the entire field.
Shade & cover
The lower levels' back rows sit under the overhangs of the decks above. During a day game, the first-base side gives you a better chance of shade, while the bleachers have hardly any cover.
Cheapest seats
The least expensive seats are the upper Grandstand (400 level) and the outfield bleachers. The bleachers are benches, and from some of them you can't see parts of the outfield.
Families
In right field on the 300 level, the Kids Clubhouse offers a mini field to play on, and there's a nursing room close by.
Standing room
The main concourse is ringed with drink-rail spaces and standing-room spots, most of them under cover. Many fans gather in the Great Hall behind home plate.

Tailgating & parking

Tailgating
LimitedCity Parking, not the Yankees, runs the nearby garages and makes their rules. According to travel guides, small tailgates inside your own space are tolerated as long as there are no open flames or alcohol, though we found no official team policy.
Parking
The garages near the stadium, such as 161st Street, 164th Street and River Avenue, are operated by City Parking rather than the team. Reserve a prepaid space by phone or on City Parking's Yankees reservation site.
Transit
Right next to the ballpark, 161st St-Yankee Stadium is served by the 4, D and B (weekdays) subway lines. Close by as well is the Yankees-E 153rd St station on Metro-North.
